I plan to research Wnt-signaling driven metastasis and cancer progression across a wide variety of tumor types, likely with a focus on liver-specific metastasis. I intend to study this from two perspectives: 1) increased Wnt-signaling originating from within the tumor itself, and 2) studying the role of environmental Wnt activators, such as BPA, in cancer aggression, progression, and metastasis. I intend to use many mouse models, as well as tissues derived from a large cohort of both pediatric and adult patients.
